What's the difference between a Die-Cut and a Removable decal?

Die-Cut Decals are permanent vinyl stickers cut to the shape of your design. They adhere directly to the drum head and are not intended to be removed. They look extremely sharp and professional, and are the better choice if you play the same kit consistently.

Removable Decals use a special low-tack adhesive that lets you peel them off and reapply without leaving any residue or damaging the drum head. They're ideal if you tour with multiple kits, swap heads frequently, or want the flexibility to reuse the same decal across different drum sizes.

If you're not sure which to choose: go removable if you need flexibility, die-cut if you want maximum longevity and a permanent look.

Can I use one removable decal on different drum sizes?

Yes — with the right approach. We recommend ordering your removable decal sized to the smallest drum head you plan to use it on. We'll add a border around the outer edge of the design, which gives it a finished, intentional look on larger heads — rather than appearing undersized. The border naturally bridges the difference between the decal and the drum head.

If you'd prefer even more flexibility, we can contour cut around the logo itself instead of cutting a full rectangle or circle. This makes it much easier to position the decal around mic ports and adjust placement on different head sizes. Just mention it in your order notes and we'll set it up accordingly.

Are the decals waterproof and durable enough for live shows?

Die-cut decals are fully waterproof once applied to the drum head — the adhesive bonds to the surface and the vinyl face holds up to heat, sweat, and humidity without issue.

Removable decals have a laminated surface that makes them water resistant, but the outer edges and adhesive side should be kept dry. Moisture along the edges can compromise the bond, so avoid situations where water would get behind or around the decal.

Removable decals can last through many shows — just avoid folding or creasing them when not in use, and store them flat for best longevity.

Do you offer discounts for multiple decals or full bands?

Yes — ordering multiple decals in one order saves on both per-unit cost and shipping, since everything ships together under a single charge. If you're ordering for a full band or multiple kits, mention that in your message and we'll put together a combined quote.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. Payment is collected via invoice only after you've approved your proof — never before.

Ordering, Shipping & Installation
How does the ordering process work?

It's simple: send us your logo, your drum size, head color, and mic port position (if applicable). We'll create a digital proof and send it back to you — usually within 1 business day. You can request revisions at no charge. Once you approve the proof, we'll send an invoice. Your order ships within 1–2 business days of payment.

How long does it take to receive my order?

Production takes approximately 1–2 business days after payment. Domestic shipping (US) typically adds 2–3 business days, so most customers receive their order within 3–5 business days. International orders generally arrive within 5–10 business days depending on the destination.

I have a show coming up — can you rush my order?

Yes — let us know your event date when you reach out and we'll do everything we can to get it there in time. Rush production and overnight shipping options are available. Mention your deadline in your message and we'll confirm what's possible and the associated cost.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide. International shipping rates and delivery times vary by country. Just let us know your location when you request a quote and we'll include shipping in the estimate.

How do I apply a removable decal?

Removable decals use a pressure-sensitive adhesive — no water needed. Clean the drum head surface first to remove any dust or oil. Peel back a small section of the backing, align the decal to the head, then slowly peel away the rest of the backing while smoothing the decal down from the center outward. The whole process takes under a minute.

To remove, simply lift a corner and peel slowly and evenly. The special low-tack adhesive leaves no residue and won't damage your drum head.

Detailed illustrated instructions are included with every order.

How do I apply a die-cut decal?

Die-cut decals come with a transfer tape backing. Clean the drum head, then peel away the white paper liner to expose the adhesive. Position the decal on the head and press firmly from the center outward. Once fully adhered, carefully peel away the clear transfer tape at a low angle. Use a squeegee or your fingernail to press down any edges that lift.

A squeegee is included with every die-cut decal order, along with detailed illustrated instructions.

Can I reuse a removable decal after taking it off?

Yes — removable decals can be repositioned and reused multiple times. For storage, we recommend keeping the clear plastic sleeve your decal arrived in. It stays clean and makes an ideal storage surface — simply press the decal back onto it adhesive-side down between uses. This keeps fuzz, dust, and dirt off the sticky side, which is the main thing that reduces reusability over time. Avoid folding or creasing the decal when storing.

Colors, Design & Sizing
What size decal do I need for my drum?

Order the decal that matches your drum head diameter — for example, a 22" decal for a 22" bass drum head. If you're unsure, measure straight across the widest point of the drum head (not the shell) and round to the nearest inch. Common bass drum sizes are 18", 20", 22", 24", and 26".

We primarily make bass drum decals, but we can also produce decals for toms, floor toms, and snares. Just include all sizes when you reach out and we'll quote the full kit.

What about the mic port hole — will the decal cover it?

Yes — we ship the decal without a pre-cut hole because it's impossible to match the exact size and position of every drummer's port hole in advance. The process is simple: apply the decal to your drum head, then flip the head over and use a razor blade to trace along the inside edge of the port. This gives you a perfectly clean cut every time.

Let us know the position of your port (e.g. 5 o'clock, 3 o'clock) when ordering and we'll design around it so the most important parts of your logo don't land directly on the cut area.

Can you print white ink? Will it show up on a black drum head?

We don't actually print white ink — but it doesn't matter, because the decal material itself is stark white. Any area of your design that calls for white simply shows the material through, so white comes out clean and vivid with no restrictions. Whether your logo is white-on-black, multi-color, or uses gradients, it will reproduce accurately on a black drum head.

Will the decal hide my drum manufacturer's logo (e.g. TAMA, Pearl)?

Die-cut decals are cut to the shape of your design, so they won't cover the full head — if the manufacturer logo falls outside your design area, it may still be visible. Removable decals cover the full drum head surface and will typically hide any existing manufacturer logo or markings.

That said, if you'd prefer to keep the manufacturer's logo as part of the overall look, just let us know — we can incorporate it into your final design so it appears intentionally alongside your artwork rather than simply being covered up.

What file formats do you accept, and what if my logo is low resolution?

We accept virtually any file type — AI, EPS, SVG, PSD, PDF, PNG, JPG, and more. Vector formats are ideal since they scale without quality loss, but send us whatever you have and we'll let you know if anything needs adjusting before printing. In many cases we can work with lower-res files or recreate the artwork in vector format.

What if I don't have a logo — can you design one for me?

We're happy to help. Send us a message with your band name, any colors or styles you like, and reference images if you have them. We'll work up a design and show you a proof before anything is finalized. Custom design work is quoted on a case-by-case basis.

Will I see a proof before my order is printed?

Always. We send a digital proof before anything is printed or invoiced. You can request as many revisions as you need — move elements, adjust colors, change placement relative to the mic port — at no extra charge. We don't take payment until you've signed off on the design.
